A Book That Reads You
in collaboration with Sijia Li and Isaac Aaronson
How do objects see us? Could they always be watching, but we just fail to notice?

Eye See is a childrens’-style board book, one flips through mundane illustrations of daily life. Within these illustrations, a pattern begins to emerge: could these consistent, symmetrical shapes on every page represent eyes?

At the conclusion, one sees their own eyes reflected along with projections in the style of the previous pages. They have been read by the book that they themselves have been reading.

Project was exhibited at the CalArts Digital Arts Expo 2017.
